My Newspaper Columns

From 1992 – 2000, I wrote a humorous column for my hometown paper, the Danville Register & Bee, published in Danville, Va. The columns were about the struggles and triumphs of raising seven children. Or as they said, “You always make us look stupid.” My reply was that I didn’t make the stuff up, I just wrote about it.”

When they started leaving home for college, life got a little calmer and I returned to school, so I took a break from column writing. I took it up again in 2009, telling my husband that he would have to do plenty of stupid stuff I could write about. So far I’ve had plenty of subject matter.
